Target Generation work by RCGC identified the high potential of the
region and resulted in the application and award of three permits in
the first quarter of 2007.
A modern 24,000 line km, closely spaced airborne
geophysical survey was flown over the permits in September 2007 with
interpretation results of the data concluded in early 2008.
This delineated twenty-eight priority targets for
follow-up for potential nickel-cobalt laterite mineralization.
Ongoing data interpretation combined with
available historical and new field data is being used for further
nickel-cobalt Target Generation work in addition to assessing the
potential of other mineralization styles and geological models
within the permits.
Field work commenced in late 2007 with the aim of
assessing the various targets. It is anticipated that, by the second
quarter 2008, all priority targets will have been assessed and
detailed and prospect scale evaluations will commence. This latter
phase will be determined by the results of the current detailed
reconnaissance phase.
